ABOUT Prevent Child Abuse Utah

Prevent Child Abuse Utah is a private non-profit dedicated to the prevention of child abuse through education, networking and public awareness campaigns. During 2006-2007, PCAU staff reached almost 73,000 students, teachers, professionals and community members with various forms of child abuse prevention education.

PCAU has been working with the Utah education system and providing school-based child abuse prevention programs for the past 26 years. It is the state's largest nonprofit child abuse prevention organization. PCAU's curriculum is approved by the Utah State Office of Education and meets the core curriculum values.

PCAU strongly believes that it takes all of us working together to create lasting results and a safer community. We realize that our agency is part of a larger puzzle and we are one of the many pieces that fit together to make a difference in the community. We understand the importance of collaboration and the benefits that come from being a partner. PCAU collaborates with the Utah State Office of Education, Division of Child and Family Services, Utah Children's Justice Centers, Family Support Centers, Utah Attorney General's Office, law enforcement, Youth City, Catholic Community Services, United Way, as well as schools and districts throughout the state.
